We all have different ways of coping with anxiety and stress, and different ways to find our ground.

What works beautifully for one person may not resonate for another, and that’s okay, there is no single fix, no universal solution. Grounding is a deeply personal journey, shaped by our own experiences and needs.

At Rem&Co, we’ve created grounding kits designed to gently guide us back when life feels overwhelming. They’re a starting point. A collection of tools that can help relieve anxiety and restore balance. But grounding doesn’t stop there, your kit can grow with you. There are countless simple additions you can weave in, little anchors that bring comfort and steadiness when you need them most.

Below, I’ve shared a list of things that I personally use to relieve anxiety and ground myself. These are my companions, the items I reach for when I feel unsettled. They’re simple, practical, and easy to keep close at hand. I carry my grounding kit with me wherever I go, and I’ve stocked it with a few extras that make all the difference.

Because grounding isn’t about perfection. It’s about having gentle reminders that you are safe, supported, and capable of returning to yourself.

·         Fidgets – They don’t need to be fancy or expensive. I started with something as simple as a small screw in my pocket to fiddle with. Tiny, discreet, and grounding—just remember to take it out before doing the laundry!

·         Essential oil rollers – I lean toward sweeter scents, especially vibrant orange notes that feel uplifting. A quick roll on the wrist, a deep breath in, and the world feels a little lighter.

·         Headphones – My go‑to escape. Slipping them in lets me tune into my favourite music and out of anxious noise.

·         Chewing gum – Simple, but surprisingly effective. The repetitive motion helps release nervous energy and relieve anxiety.

·         Calm Pulse – An acupressure tool designed to ease tension and bring the body back into balance.

·         Cold water – My trusty water bottle, always filled with big ice cubes. The chill stimulates the vagus nerve, gently nudging the body toward relaxation.

·         Fruit Tingles – I always keep a stash on hand. They’re a lifesaver when anxiety brings on nausea, offering a quick, fizzy distraction.

Your grounding kit doesn’t have to look like mine — it only needs to feel like yours. Whatever anchors you choose to ground yourself and relieve stress and anxiety, let them be quiet reminders that you can always return to steadiness, one small, simple ritual at a time.
